Ayvalık & the nearest airports

Ayvalık sits on Turkey's northern Aegean coast. There's no airport in town — most guests will fly into one of these and drive the rest of the way, or take the scenic option and come by ferry from the Greek island of Lesvos. Hover or tap a pin for travel time; the table below has the full detail.

Simplified map, not to scale — fine dotted lines are driving routes, not straight-line distance, and the long-dashed line out to Lesvos is the ferry crossing. Sabiha Gökçen sits on the Asian mainland already, so it heads straight south via Bursa and Balıkesir; the Istanbul Airport route has to cross the Bosphorus first, then follows the same corridor — the extra crossing is why it's slower despite being the bigger hub.
